Introduction:
-
Applied the GEO-SLOPE to Analyze the flow of water through the levee.
-
Investigated the stability of the slope under HWL (High Water Level) and LWL (Low Water Level) conditions which respect to the tidal variations. (Fig. 3-1)

Analyzed the flow of water through the dam(Fig.3-2).

Calculated the FS (factor of safety) of the slope in HWL and LWL conditions.

Compared the results with hand calculation, and figured out the critical station in LWL which FS=0.9 (Fig.3-3) < 1.5 (requirement).

Determined the kind of earth retaining structure to be used based on the construction time, cost, efficiency and comparison with other methods.

Used shotcrete face to increase the FS base on analysis.
